 I know it's not a Disney item, but Knott's Berry Farm was Orange County's original theme park and Walt Disney and Walter Knott were friends.  Walt Disney studied Knott's Berry farm closely when planning his own Magic Kingdom which would rise just 6 miles down the highway.  In this December 27, 1961 letter, Walter Knott apologizes to an old friend for who apparently didn't receive his Christmas order from the farm.  Personally signed by Walter Knott.  Accompanied by a Christmas card signed "The Knott Family."  Signature on letter is original; signature on Christmas card is a printed facsimile.  Item #2335, $299

From 1955 to 1962, Disneyland cast member badges did not feature names, but only numbers.  The originals are so rare that not even the Disney Archives has one.  But several years ago Disneyland made a special reproduction badge for it's cast members.  This beautifully-crafted badge measures 2.5" across and comes in a colorful collector tin.  Only 3000 were made, and the limited edition was available only to Disneyland employees.  I have just one, in new condition. This charming relic of a bygone era is in good condition. Some tattered edges where the hangers poke through, and folds and wrinkles, otherwise fine. If you didn't see this handsome medallion for sale on a recent trip to Walt Disney World, it's because it wasn't for sale!  This is a cast member exclusive medallion- larger and several times thicker than a silver dollar (more like an Olympic medal at a 2.5" across!) that was given to WDW cast members (employees) in the fall of 2001 to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Walt Disney's birth.  Those of you who have purchased 1950's/1960's-era Walt Disney cursive autographs from me will recognize Walt's familiar autograph signature in the lower right portion of the front of the medal.  A really impressive piece.  I have only a couple of these.  Item # 1201, $49.95 SALE $39.95
